Puppies and Trains – EP

Behold a Pale Puppy (A-Side)

This is a song about truth. More importantly what people perceive as truth. The title is taken from William Cooper’s book, Behold a Pale Horse, whose title was taken from the Book of Revelation 6:8 “And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him….” In his book, William Cooper told his readers about government cover-ups and plots to control the world. He felt so deeply about these conspiracies that he made it his life’s duty to tell the rest of the world about. It is through this song, that we try to understand a belief and conviction that supercedes all else. William Cooper risked ridicule from his loved ones, neighbors and government officials and according to some his life, all because he believed in something so strongly that it became his singular focus. Whether his theories are right or wrong, his belief, bravery and conviction are to be celebrated. With that, we try to understand how one man’s “truth” becomes his singular being. Each time we play the song and hopefully each time you listen to it, we will find ourselves getting closer to the “truth” that will guide us the rest of the way.

I Know You’re With Me (Digital B-Side)

A connection that is made, born of depression and desperation, blossoms into loyalty, respect and eventually love. What do we do from here? Is it founded in reality and logic or is it merely blind luck that has brought and kept us together? This is that narrative that ends with the happiest of endings, knowing.
